Kevin Rehwald is a Partner at Chaleff Rehwald. He represents workers who have been treated unlawfully by their employers. Mr. Rehwald has successfully represented clients in both State and Federal court, and has experience in all areas of employment litigation, including wage and hour violations, misclassification matters, wrongful terminations, discrimination, harassment, violations of State and Federal whistleblower laws, and violations of the Family Medical Leave Act, California Family Rights Act, and Fair Employment & Housing Act. Mr. Rehwald also litigates business, construction and real estate matters.

Mr. Rehwald believes that the foundation to a successful employment case is a strong relationship with his clients. He takes the time to understand his clients’ needs and develops an individualized plan to achieve each client’s goals. He focuses his attention on obtaining the evidence necessary to win at trial, and often finds that when he does, employers are eager to settle. In 2001, Mr. Rehwald graduated from the University of Southern California cum laude, with a dual degree in Philosophy and Religion. He attended Pepperdine University School of Law, also graduating cum laude in 2007. He was awarded membership in the Order of the Coif, an honor bestowed on law students of qualified Universities who graduate in the top 10 percent of the class. While in law school, Mr. Rehwald was on the Dean’s List and awarded the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. He received three CALI Awards in Corporations, Constitutional Law and Complex Litigation.

Mr. Rehwald drafted briefs for several successful appellate matters, two of which resulted in published decisions, Zuehlsdorf v. Simi Valley Unified School Dist., 148 Cal. App. 4th 249 (2007) and Eternity Investments, Inc. v. Brown, 151 Cal. App. 4th 739 (2007).

Mr. Rehwald lives in Newbury Park California with his beautiful wife Heidi and two children. He is an avid, although not always skilled, basketball player and also dabbles in playing bass and guitar.
