Daniel Chaleff has built his practice on helping clients get the best resolution possible by applying his legal acumen and experience as he works toward resolving each case. He prides himself on the open communication and individualized attention he devotes to each of his clients.
As a young attorney, Daniel began his career working on personal injury and employment discrimination cases. As his experience with employment law grew, he developed a keen interest in wage and hour law, recovering unpaid overtime for numerous individuals and groups at all levels of employment in a variety of fields. In recent years he has focused his practice on caregiver law. He also actively pursues all aspects of civil litigation including serious auto accidents, slip and fall claims and handles wage and hour class actions; having recovering millions of dollars for thousands of employees.
Daniel became a partner in 2002 and was named a “Rising Star in Labor and Employment Law” by Super Lawyer Magazine, 2005-2007. In 2014, Daniel successfully completed 6 days of mediation training at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. In 2015, he achieved a perfect “10” rating from AVVO and received the AV Preeminent peer-review rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
He currently volunteers his services as a Hearing Officer to the San Fernando Valley Bar Association Mandatory Fee Arbitration Program. He also enjoys doing referral work for clients of Bet Tzedek legal services.
Growing up in the San Fernando Valley, Daniel graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1986 and earned his B.A. from UCLA in 1990. He attended Pepperdine University, School of Law, graduating cum laude in 1994. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys following his favorite teams, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the UCLA Bruins.
Daniel is a devoted husband and father who loves spending time with family and friends. Now the managing partner with Chaleff Rehwald, Daniel advocates in the best interests of his clients with integrity and judiciousness. Daniel is devoted to applying his experience and passion to each case he takes on.
